Keeping Your Bathroom Mirrors Fog Free

Build-up of fog on your bathroom mirrors during your hot showers can be very troubling. Having a clear mirror is very important, and for this reason, keeping it free from fog is something you will want to prioritise. There are various solutions that can help you prevent the formation of fog on your bathroom mirrors. However, before you start on these steps, make sure your mirrors are free of streaks for desirable results. Here are some of the tips you can use to prevent fogging of your bathroom mirrors.

Use Shaving Cream

Shaving cream will be among the best solutions for your foggy bathroom mirrors. Therefore, if you use shaving cream or there's someone in your house who uses it, you can use it to lather your bathroom mirrors and then wipe it clean with a towel. Apply the shaving cream onto a paper towel or piece of cloth and coat your mirror with this cream before rubbing it until the fog disappears. Doing this can free your mirror of fog for a few weeks.

Use Vinegar

A mixture of vinegar and water can also be a better solution for your foggy mirrors. Vinegar is a readily available and natural cleaner. If you have an old spray bottle, pour a cup of vinegar and water into this bottle and add a little dishwashing soap. Spray your bathroom mirrors with the solution and wipe it off with a towel or any other piece of cloth. Alternatively, you can apply the solution onto a piece of cloth and then rub the mirror thoroughly using this cloth.

If you are concerned about the odour of vinegar, adding some lemon juice should help do away with the odour.

Use Liquid Soap

Pour some hand soap or liquid soap onto your palm and smear it over your foggy mirror. You can add some water to lather the soap and make it better for your application. Rinse with some clean water and use an absorbent paper, a towel, or piece of cloth to wipe it.

Use Toothpaste

Another readily available remedy for your foggy bathroom mirrors is using toothpaste. Smear some toothpaste over the mirror and make sure that it completely covers the fog area. You can use a sponge to scrub the mirror in order to remove the paste. When all the paste washes off, wipe your bathroom mirror with a towel. Doing this should give you a fog-free mirror a while.
